Week of December 9th

I can't believe it's already December!!  Just a few notes for you.

Report cards went home on Friday in the Friday folders.  Please look for them and find your conference time on the bottom.  I also sent home a reminder with your conference time/date.  The conferences are 15 minutes so please be on time.

The conferences are on Wednesday the 11th, Thursday the 12th and also Friday the 13th.  These days are half days so please pick your child up at 1:15.

Please make sure you read to your child every night and fill in the book log in the homework folder.

Children should be able to read and write the following red words: and, to, me, it, the, I, you, is, see, today, we, go, of, in, on, can, no, yes, an, went.

We will be decorating our gingerbread houses on Friday the 20th from 12:00-1:00pm.  During this time, we will also have our holiday party and I hope everyone can make it! We would love to have your help in making the gingerbread houses.  It's so much fun!

Happy Holidays!

Week of October 28th

Just wanted to remind you that the feather that went home last week for homework is due this Wednesday, October 30th.  Please work with your child and decorate the feather.  Have fun!

Our Halloween parade and party will be this Thursday, October 31st.  The parade will begin at 1:45 and the party will follow the parade in our classroom.  I hope you can come!

I'm sending home a ring of red words for each child.  Please have your child quickly read the words a couple of times a night.  This should only take a few minutes.  Please return the ring on Friday so that we can add more red words for the following week.

Week of October 21st

I hope to see everyone on Wednesday, October 23rd from 6:00-7:30pm for Pizza Night! It's always so much fun!

Our class will be visiting the Book Fair on Tuesday, the 22nd, from 10:20-10:40 to preview the books.  We would love to have some help writing down our wish lists!

Don't forget to have your child read and write the "red" words: and, to, me, it, the, I, you, is, see, we.
